Hobbyist and homeowner woodworking questions are inappropriate. WOODWEB is a professional industrial woodworking site.Good luck, and believe me, I feel your pain when it comes to the software in question.įORUM GUIDELINES: Please review the guidelines below before posting at WOODWEB's Interactive Message Boards ( return to top) Pay up front, or pay dearly later when the stuff doesn't work on a new version of Windows. Software updates on a yearly basis never seem to be worth the price paid. Once you have a seat of software, and a bug free post, there really isn't a reason to pay yearly support. That being said, a bullet proof post is worth its weight in gold. Third option, I guess is to find someone that has the same machine, paid for a post processor and is willing to sell theirs for a fee, or give it away. Have you called Anderson, or Omnitech and asked for an Alphacam post for that machine running Fanuc? I would choose calling the manufacturer first. Do you have the ability to modify post processors? If so, you could grab a generic Fanuc post for Alphacam and modify for your machine. That can get pricey when you add all that stuff up.
